  • Because you won’t see or remember everything.

    Birth happens quickly, and you will be completely immersed in it. There will be moments you don’t see, details you don’t notice, and connections happening around you that you may never know about.

    I quietly document your story as it unfolds — the intensity of labour, the strength of your body, the people supporting you, your baby’s first breath, first touch, and all those beautiful moments in between.

    These photographs are more than memories of the day your baby was born. They are a record of you becoming their mother.

  • I intentionally keep the number of births I photograph limited.

    This allows me to give each family my full attention and remain available around your due date.

    Because babies rarely arrive exactly when expected, I leave space in my calendar for early and late arrivals.

    Your birth is not just another booking. It is your story, and I want to be fully present for it.

  • Every labour is different, so there isn’t one exact point when I arrive.

    Before your due date, we’ll talk through your birth plans, preferences and how you’d like me to work alongside you and your support team.

    As labour begins, we’ll stay in close contact. I’ll make my way to you at the appropriate time, allowing enough time to settle quietly into the space and begin documenting your story.

    Whether you’re birthing at home or in hospital, my aim is always to arrive with enough time to be present without interrupting what is already unfolding.

  • I’m there for your story, not simply the moment your baby arrives.

    I’ll photograph your labour, the birth, and the precious first moments afterwards — the first cuddles, your partner meeting your baby, those quiet pauses, and all the tiny details that can so easily be missed.

    I’ll stay for the agreed period outlined in your birth collection, which is normally up to two hours after birth.

    That keeps the focus on the whole beginning of your story, rather than ending as soon as your baby arrives.

  • I understand this can be one of the biggest concerns when choosing a birth photographer.

    I take my on-call commitment seriously and stay in close communication with you as your labour progresses, so I can make my way to you at the appropriate time.

    In the unlikely event that circumstances outside my control mean I cannot attend, my backup arrangements will come into effect so that you are not left without support.
